Declaration on accessibility

This accessibility statement applies to the websites listed at www.vrs.de published on the website of Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg GmbH.

As a public body within the meaning of Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we endeavor to make our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia on equal opportunities for people with disabilities (Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz Nordrhein-Westfalen (BGG NRW)) and the Barrier-free Information Technology Ordinance of North Rhine-Westphalia (BITV NRW) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102. The accessibility requirements are set out in Sections 3 and 4 BITV NRW, which was issued on the basis of Section 10e BGG NRW.

The review of compliance with the requirements is based on a self-assessment carried out on 04.06.2025 (BIK BITV test + WCAG 2.2 (Web)).

Based on the self-assessment, the website is partially compliant with the aforementioned requirements.

We are making every effort to improve the accessibility of our website. We ask for your patience, as some of the website's programming has to be modified. Below you can find an excerpt of the non-accessible content:

  1. The usability of the menu is limited at 200% zoom level of the browser.
  2. The operation of the interactive maps in the timetable information and in the stop information system is not 100% barrier-free.
  3. The selection of stops and lines on the interactive route maps is not barrier-free.
  4. For various forms: An automatic completion for personal information provided by the browser is currently not set up.

The BGG NRW conciliation body has the task of supporting out-of-court dispute resolution in the event of conflicts between people with disabilities and public bodies in the state on the subject of accessibility. The arbitration procedure is free of charge. No legal assistance is required.
