go.Rheinland Logo

go.Rheinland

go.Rheinland aims to provide an efficient and customer-oriented local rail passenger transport service and to improve the infrastructure of local public transport and local rail passenger transport in line with demand by promoting investment .

With the cooperation area of go.Rheinland, which covers the areas of the Aachener Verkehrsverbund (AVV) and the Verkehrsverbund Rhein-Sieg (VRS), these goals can be better achieved, because joint action means

  • lower prices and a higher quality service,
  • strengthening local transport in the face of increasing competition from long-distance transport,
  • effective use of the funds available for local public transport operations and local public transport/SPNV investment funding, and
  • the creation of synergies by bundling parallel structures.

Under this memorable go.Rheinland brand, we want to make local transport in the Rhineland fit for the future in the long term - and get people excited about it.

Zukunftsnetz Mobilität NRW Logo

Future Mobility Network NRW

With the joint Future Mobility Network NRW, the state supports local authorities in opening up new paths for liveable cities and secure mobility in rural areas.

The aim is to support local authorities (cities, municipalities and districts) in developing, networking and promoting sustainable mobility services. The approach of municipal mobility management serves this purpose. The key challenge lies in permanently anchoring a holistic view of the topic of mobility in the everyday working practices of the entire administration. This requires clear targets to be set by local politicians or the top management and cooperative action and planning by the specialist departments.
