No matter where your journey takes you: the SemesterTicket costs a flat rate of 134.80 euros in the current semester and is valid throughout the entire VRS network.
The SemesterTicket must be paid by each student together with the student social contribution at the university on the respective re-registration date.

Validity duration and scope
Valid around the clock in the VRS network for one semester.
Children under 6 years can be taken along free of charge.
Dogs can be taken along in the VRS network free of charge as long as they are under the supervision of a suitable person. Dogs that are a danger to passengers must wear a muzzle. In general, animals must not be accommodated on the seats.
SemesterTicket holders may take a bicycle with them free of charge from 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, and all day on weekends and public holidays (until 3 a.m. the following day).
SemesterTicket holders may take one person over 14 years of age and up to 3 children (from 6 to 14 years of age) free of charge from 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, all day on weekends and public holidays (until 3 a.m. the following day).
Usable means of transport
The SemesterTicket is only valid on the following means of transport in conjunction with an official photo ID.
- Bus, tram, city and underground routes
- RegionalBahn- und RegionalExpress routes
cannot be used with tickets in the "short hop" price category!
- Express bus routes
cannot be used with tickets in "short hop" price category! Express bus supplement required!
Note on taking bicycles with you
If you want to take a bicycle on the bus or train before 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, you will need a separate FahrradTicket (= single ticket, price level 1b or 2a).
